Rottkehlchen has visited me several times already. In fact she was my first in-studio-collaboration guest ever back in 2011. Working with her is always a pleasure. Usually we'll take one of her songs that hasn't been arranged yet and will work it out together. Since she's singing in German I'll leave the vocal part to her and only sometimes add some backings because whenever I try singing in my mother tongue I never like the result.

ROTTKEHLCHEN is Hannah Simonis, based in Hamburg. Experimental songwriting combined with looping, involving sampled psychoactive sounds and noise. A unique impressive voice tells very personal lyrics about doubt and fear, inner and outer fights for independence and discreteness and the hope of being able to stand out against all that sorrow and challenges.
